Current Accountant and Bookkeeper Job Openings


Full Charge Bookkeeper

Perform daily bookkeeping, reconciliation and bill payment tasks for our clients. Confidentiality, excellent organizational skills and accuracy are important qualifications for this position, as well as good customer service and the ability to communicate clearly. The ideal candidate for this position is a skilled multi-tasker, is reliable and is committed to consistently meeting deadlines.

You likely will be assigned multiple clients, so tasks may vary according to the client needs, but the following duties are consistent:

● Import transactions daily from bank and third-party software and post/categorize to appropriate accounts
● Reconcile bank, credit card, and other general ledger accounts
● Apply customer payments and reconcile cash receipts to bank and QuickBooks
● Enter and pay vendor invoices
● Review general ledger for accuracy
● Produce management reports and monthly financial statements by required deadlines
● Communicate on a daily/weekly basis with clients

We look for candidates to have the following qualifications and job skills:

● Previous experience working as a full-charge bookkeeper
● Some formal education in accounting or related field
● Extensive knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel

Part-Time Bookkeeper (Contract)
We are always looking for contractors to supplement our full-time staff. It could be just a few hours a month, or as much as 20-30 hrs./week. Client work can be done virtually/remotely, at one of our offices, or at our client’s location. We will interview you to find out what restrictions (if any) you have regarding your availability to us. We require the same job skills that our full charge bookkeepers have so please review that job outline to make sure you meet those before applying for a contractor position. Compensation typically runs between $15-$25/hr. depending on the complexity of the work.

Fractional CFO/Controller
This position is more than likely going to be on a contract basis but could grow to a full-time position. Qualified candidates must have a degree in Accounting and demonstrated experience in holding top level financial positions for their previous employers. Our CFOs and Controllers are vital members of our clients’ management teams and provide financial and operational consulting services. You will meet with clients regularly to develop action plans and help execute strategies to increase their company’s performance, cash flow and profitability. Many times, our CFOs and Controllers are overseeing and supervising the client’s office manager or bookkeeping staff. Compensation typically runs between $30-$40/hr. depending on the scope of services provided.
