Wouldn't I be better off hiring an in-house bookkeeper?To hire an in-house bookkeeper, first you must find that person, check their credentials, negotiate a salary, hire and train them, and manage them. That can be very expensive both in time and money for a business owner. You incur payroll tax expenses, vacation and sick time, and the cost of other benefits for that employee. Even if the person you hire is part-time, you still have to add the cost of payroll taxes, benefits, workers compensation insurance and the administrative costs that come along with all of that. You must manage their hours and will only have access to them when they are at work. How does the work get done?We can either do the work in your office or set up a convenient time to pick up the work at your location and return it to your office when completed. We also offer remote access to your files from our offices and QuickBooks Online, a web based application that allows us and you simultaneous access to your file from any internet enabled computer, anywhere, anytime. How do you determine your rates?We tailor packages to each individual client. Typically, we will set up a meeting with you to discuss what services you need and what sort of bookkeeping system you have in place. We work on either an hourly rate, or a flat monthly rate, dependent upon the level of service required and your preference. To quote a rate, we need full understanding of your needs and situation. Before meeting, it is helpful if you provide us your level of financial activity. This can include the number of checks written per month, number of customers you have, vendors and employees.
